Camping on the Illinois State Fairgrounds
Welcome to the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Our 366-acre campus is home to hundreds of events year-round. Our campground is open to the public from April - October 31st.

2025 State Fair Camping Information
The Illinois State Fair Campground is currently full through Tuesday August 12th.
Camping from August 13th – August 17th will be offered at a first come, first serve basis.
Visitors must visit the campground office upon arrival.

About the Campground: We offer campsites that can accomodate motor homes, RV's, fifth-wheels and tents. Sites come with electric, water and limited spaces offer sewer hook-ups. Shower facilities and permanent restrooms are available.

Security monitors the Illinois State Fairgrounds 24-hours a day and a campground host is centrally located in the campground to assist with assigning spots, parking and general information on the fairgrounds and surrounding Springfield area.
State Fair Camping Fees (August 1 - August 31) are $25 per night for tent camping (sites do not include electricity or water) and $50 per night for all other types of camping.
Vendors/Concessionaires intending to camp at the Illinois State Fair must submit a camping application for the campground; camping is prohibited in supply lots.
