Media Center

To request media credentials for the 2026 Illinois State Fair, please complete the online application form below by July 24, 2026. If your request is approved, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the Fair’s new e-ticketing system. This will allow you to enter your information and upload a photo for your media badge.

Credentials will be available for pick up during Press Preview Day on Thursday, August 6 at 11 a.m. or prior to the fair. Should you need to pick up your credentials after the fair has started, you will have access on your phone through the new e-ticketing system to enter the fair and park your car on the grounds. We still ask that you pick up a physical badge to be displayed while you are onsite. Media identification – either our credentials or your employee identification – is required at all times.

NEW FOR 2026: Each person requesting credentials will need to submit an application.

Reminder: press credentials are limited to working members of the media including reporters, photographers, videographers and editors. Credentials will not be granted to general office or sales staff. Discount admission booklets are available for those individuals.

Credentials for Grandstand concert coverage will NOT be available for the 2026 Illinois State Fair.
