Infield, One Mile Track

The infield of the mile track is a large grassy area that can hold parking for approximately 3,000 people. It has historical significance for being Springfield’s first golf course. When it was introduced in 1895, it consisted of only four holes. Now, events such as vintage car shows and ethnic games are hosted on the infield.
