Stabling Barns

Various

The fairgrounds has 916 stalls located over 28 barns throughout the fairgrounds. The number of stalls per barn varies. All barns provide quality stabling facilities.

BARN 13

This barn was constructed in 1909 and is complete with a 181 x 111 dirt show ring, oversized round arched entrances, and restrooms. This facility is excellent for horse warm-up, horse stabling, cattle storage, and livestock seminars. The structure underwent major renovation in 1995 and in 1997. This consisted of window installation, wall and roof replacement, and new restroom facilities

This barn was constructed in 1999 and is complete with 122 - 10 x 10 stalls, a small dirt warm-up ring, wash racks, restrooms with shower facilities, and a large overhead door.

BARNS 16 A – B

Each barn in this series contains 22 stalls. They are single-story stabling barns with concrete flooring and a brick and wood frame roof structure. They were constructed in 1935.The gable ends contain swinging doors that open to a center isle that the stalls line.

BARN 18 A – H

The barns in this series have 181 available stalls. The number of stalls per barn varies. They were established in 1913 and originally stabled the 106th Calvary Unit.Double wooden swinging doors are found in each barn for horse entrance. They are brick single story facilities with load breaking walls and concrete floors, which makes them great for stabling purposes.

The barns in this series were constructed in 1928. They are brick, one-story barns with wooden frames and asphalt shingled roofs. Stalls flank the central aisles. Combined, the barns contain 278 stalls. The 106th Calvary Unit was originally stabled in this series.

This barn was constructed in 1950. It is a timber frame barn complete with 35 stalls, front gable roofing and large double entrances on gable ends. Wooden doors with openings along the sides provide ventilation.
