Four-time GRAMMY Award nominees The Avett Brothers achieved mainstream success with their critically acclaimed 2009 major-label debut, I and Love and You. In 2012, The Carpenter reached #4 on the Billboard 200, followed by Magpie and the Dandelion in 2013, which debuted at #5.
The 2017 documentary May It Last: A Portrait of The Avett Brothers — co-directed by Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio — chronicles the process of writing 2016’s True Sadness, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Albums chart, #1 on Rock Albums, #3 on the Billboard 200, and scored two GRAMMY nominations. The film was released theatrically and on HBO to widespread acclaim and is available on DVD, BluRay, and VOD.
In 2019, the band released their tenth studio album Closer Than Together featuring the single “High Steppin’” which reached #1 on the Americana Radio Singles chart. The Third Gleam followed during the COVID-19 pandemic, debuting at #1 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk Albums, Rock Albums, and Vinyl Albums charts, while the single “Victory” also hit #1 on the Americana Radio Singles chart.
2024 brought the release of The Avett Brothers, an album that is as much untitled as it is self-titled: a collection of songs that revealed themselves naturally over time. That same year, Swept Away — a musical inspired by & featuring the music of The Avett Brothers — debuted on Broadway to rave reviews.
Since their inception in 1996, Drive-By Truckers have carved out a unique niche in the music scene with their raw, unflinching storytelling, heavy-hitting guitar riffs, and blend of Alternative and Southern rock. Founded by Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley, Drive-By Truckers have released 14 studio albums and played more than 2,500 shows in the last three decades. Notable members include long-time drummer Brad Morgan and current members Jay Gonzalez and Matt Patton, who have helped define the band’s evolving sound. The band’s work has often reflected the state of American society, particularly through their celebrated trilogy of albums: American Band (ATO, 2016), The Unraveling (ATO, 2020), and The New OK (ATO, 2020).
Hunter Flynn is a Kentucky-born singer-songwriter and visual artist whose work resonates with emotional honesty and a deep connection to Appalachian culture. Raised in Pulaski County, Flynn’s path to music and art wasn’t a straight line—it was forged through adversity and personal transformation. In early 2022, after surviving a life-altering car accident, he decided to fully embrace his creative passions, launching a music career rooted in authenticity, vulnerability, and soul. Drawing inspiration from the landscapes and stories of Appalachia, Flynn blends elements of folk, country, soul, and gospel into a genre-defying sound he calls Appalachian Soul Music.
